Southbound traffic on Interstate 75 was backed up for several miles Tuesday morning from north Tampa into Pasco County.
The bottleneck began when workers failed to remove barricades and equipment used in overnight road projects before morning rush hour traffic began, according to Bay News 9.
Traffic was slowed or stopped from the Fowler Road interchange in north Tampa to State Road 54 in Pasco County.
After barricades were removed, an accident near the interchange further slowed traffic.
