Silver alert issued for missing Tampa man, 85

A silver alert has been issued for an 85-year-old Tampa man who has not been seen since leaving his home Wednesday morning.

Alfredo L. Fernandez, of 2424 W Tampa Blvd., left his apartment at about 9:40 a.m. in a 2009 blue Kia sedan, Tampa police said. Family members have not heard from Fernandez, who is being treated for dementia, police said.

Anyone who has information can call Tampa police at (813) 231-6130.
