Silver Alert issued for Sun City Center man

SUN CITY CENTER – A 75-year-old Sun City Center man has not been seen since he left home early Friday evening, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Robert Jernigan left his La Jolla Avenue home with only a small amount gas in the car and four dollars in his pocket. He may be disoriented and unable to find his way home, the Sheriff's Office said.

Jernigan is 5-foot-7, weighs 210 pounds and has thin gray hair. He was wearing a white shirt and blue shorts. Jernigan was driving a silver 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer with Florida license plate V21-0KH. Anyone who has information can call the Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
