TAMPA — A Spirit Airlines flight to Tampa made an emergency landing Monday morning at Tampa International Airport after reporting a fuel problem, airport officials said.
TIA spokeswoman Brenda Geoghagan said Flight 360 from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa landed at its regular time near 8 a.m. But before landing, the pilot signaled that firefighters and paramedics should be staged at the landing point in case there were problems. Geoghagan said the pilot referred to the problem as a fuel flow problem.
There were 102 passengers on board. The Airbus 319 landed without incident, Geoghagan said.
