St. Petersburg man with Alzheimer's missing

ST. PETERSBURG — A man with Alzheimer's Disease has been missing since Tuesday, police said.

Helidoro Garcia, 73, was last seen at 8 a.m. Tuesday at his home, 2828 29th Ave. N. He went for his normal morning walk, which usually takes a few hours, but didn't return.

His family called police to report him missing around 3 p.m. Tuesday. Police don't suspect foul play. Garcia used to live in Hialeah and may be headed for Miami, police say. He has two passports with him.

Garcia is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches and 125 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a light blue long sleeved shirt and white sneakers, and carrying a dark green bag with a zipper on top.
