St. Petersburg police searching for Fresco's robbers

ST. PETERSBURG — Police are searching for two men caught by a surveillance camera robbing Fresco's Waterfront Bistro in July.

The suspects, described as white men with slender builds, baseball caps and gloves, apparently took liquor and frozen food from the downtown restaurant at 300 Second Ave. NE, police said.

Around 2:30 a.m. July 5, the men jumped over a wall surrounding the deck of the open-air bar, broke into locked cabinets and coolers, and filled their backpacks and trash cans with liquor before fleeing.

About 5 a.m. July 17, the restaurant was burglarized again, this time without video evidence. A suspect who may have been involved in the first robbery took frozen food.

Police ask anyone who recognizes the suspects to call (727) 893-7780.
