ST. PETERSBURG – Police are asking for the public's help in their search for a missing boy.

Eric Paul Burroughs, a 10-year-old bi-racial male, was last seen at 4:30 a.m. Friday walking away from his home in the area of 15th Avenue N and 58th Street N, authorities said.

Eric has gone off against his mother's wishes before, but never for this long. The woman reported her son missing early Friday evening.

The 100-pound boy, who is 4 feet, 10 inches, has short curly brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a teal basketball jersey and teal shorts.

Eric frequents the Tyrone Mall and Tyrone Gardens areas, police said. Authorities are considering him endangered; he is in need of medications.

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Petersburg Police at (727) 893-7780.
