Stolen gun sparked brothers' brawl, Pasco deputies say

SHADY HILLS — Deputies say a stolen shotgun started a bloody brawl between brothers.

Scott Redmond, 24, accused his brother, Todd Redmond, 26, Friday afternoon of stealing his gun, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report says.

They argued and fought, then left Scott's house and went to their mother's, who can usually smooth out their spats, the report says.

This time, though, Todd grabbed a wooden shovel handle and bashed his brother in the chest, stomach, twice on the left arm and once across the face, the report says. Then he kicked a $300 dent in the side of Scott's Buick.

Scott's girlfriend called deputies, who found the bloody shovel handle and the dent in the car.

They arrested Todd Redmond, of Shady Hills, on charges of aggravated domestic battery, criminal mischief and armed burglary. He remained Tuesday in the Land O'Lakes Jail in lieu of $115,150 bail.
