Tampa pedestrian struck by vehicle on Fletcher and Nebraska Avenues

TAMPA — Sheriff's deputies responded to an accident involving a pedestrian early Friday.

A woman who was not immediately identified was struck by a vehicle while walking across the intersection of Fletcher and Nebraska Avenues about 5:30 a.m., Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokesman Larry McKinnon said.

She was transported to a local area hospital to be treated, police said. Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

The westbound lanes of Fletcher Avenue were blocked early Friday and traffic was being redirected.
