Tampa Police find missing 86-year-old man

TAMPA — Police found an elderly man with dementia who was reported missing Thursday night after he left a card game to head to the store.

Chester Taylor, 86, of Tampa was missing for about 10 hours.

Around 2 p.m., Taylor was seen walking toward Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. from the Silver Dollar Store at N 40th and E Chelsea streets, Tampa police said.

He was wearing a long-sleeved black pullover sweater, blue jeans, a brownish-green baseball cap and large-framed copper rim glasses. Taylor is missing his two front teeth.

He wasn't seen again until just after midnight Friday, when police found Taylor at a Hartline bus station on N 40th Street and Melbourne Boulevard — less than a mile away from the store.

Police took Taylor home early Friday. He was unharmed.
