TAMPA — A man was found dead Saturday afternoon in bushes outside the Glazer Children's Museum in downtown Tampa.

Tampa police do not suspect foul play, spokesman Steve Hegarty said. The man appeared to be in his 50s or 60s, he said.

An employee of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office found the body around 1:30 p.m. and reported it to police, Hegarty said.

Police cleared the scene on N Ashley Drive by 4:30 p.m. The area of shrubbery, not far from the riverfront, was roped off by crime scene tape for most the afternoon.

The man's identity has not been released, pending next of kin notification.
