Tampa police search for gunman who shot man at gas station

TAMPA — Police were searching for a man they say shot another man at a gas station late Saturday.

Just before 11:30 p.m., Gregory Finley, 26, went to the Mobil gas station at 4242 E Busch Blvd. He heard his brother had been in a fight and went to check on him, police said. Finley confronted a man, who police say was armed with a revolver. The man fired twice, shooting Finley once through the upper arm.

The man got into his vehicle and left, striking Finley's parked and unoccupied vehicle three times before heading north on 46th Street, police said.

Finley was hospitalized and was considered stable. Police have not identified the suspect in the shooting.
