TAMPA — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue extinguished a two-alarm fire on Sunday morning.

According to Fire Rescue, at approximately 9:50 a.m., crews responded to a call of an outside fire at the Trademark Metals Recycling Facility on Port Sutton Road in Tampa.

When crews arrived on scene, they reported an approximately 25-foot high pile of metal on fire in the facility's metal yard.

It took crews about an hour and a half to get the blaze under control using both foam and water. The facility's claw was eventually used to dismantle the metal pile to get to the inner hot spots.

Fighting the blaze was complicated was near-zero visibility at some points due to haze from the smoldering fire and rainy weather.

There were no injuries reported, and the fire's cause is currently under investigation.
