SPRING HILL — Two men remained hospitalized Wednesday after a shooting early Tuesday, but the Hernando Sheriff's Office has refused to release more information as detectives continue to investigate.
The Sheriff's Office received a call about 5:40 a.m. about a shooting at 8129 Wooden Drive. Deputies arrived and found three injured men, all of whom knew each other. The incident started with an argument, detectives said.
The men were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. Hernando sheriff's spokeswoman Denise Moloney confirmed that at least one man had been shot. One man was later released.
The Sheriff's Office has not released the identities of the men. The hospitalizations and medical treatment have prevented investigators from conducting interviews, Moloney said.
The home is owned by Florida Low Income Housing Associates, a group that provides low-cost, affordable housing to residents of rural Florida.
