CLEARWATER — Firefighters rescued two women whose boat went aground early Thursday off the Courtney Campbell Parkway, authorities said.
The women, whose names were not released, were not harmed and refused medical treatment.
The boat had been stranded since midnight, said public safety spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts. Clearwater Fire & Rescue got a call at about 9 a.m., she said.
Marine crews found the boat in about a foot of water about 1/4 mile north of the Tampa boat ramp.
It will be towed once the tide comes in, officials said.
