A group of spring breakers visiting Broward County got a bit more excitement than they may have expected when they foiled an attempted robbery at a gas station early Sunday morning.

The incident was captured on surveillance video, posted on the Broward County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, that showed the four men stepping out of their car at a Mobil gas station in Oakland Park at about 3:45 a.m. Then a black Hyundai Sonata pulled up and a man wearing a hood over his head approached them with a gun.

He told Alec Tanoos, 21, to “give me everything you got” while waving the gun, deputies said. Instead, the spring breakers fought back and wrestled the gunman to the ground. The Sun-Sentinel identified all of the spring breakers involved in the incident.

“Then my cousin, Jacob, gets on top of him and I'm in there, trying to wrestle around for the gun," spring breaker Aric Wisbey, 21, told WPLG-TV. That would be Jacob Tanoos, age 27.

During the struggle, a second man — later identified as Kevin Campbell, 33, — ran over and started trying to separate the spring breakers in an attempt to rescue the would-be robber, the video shows.

Wisbey grabbed the gun after it fell to the ground and pointed it at the would-be robbers, according to the video. The would-be robber asked for his gun back, then he and his accomplice got into the Hyundai and drove off.

The fourth spring breaker was identified as Alex Wisbey, 23. The Wisbeys and Tanoos are brothers — and cousins. Three of them were in town to visit Jacob Tanoos, who now lives in South Florida, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

They were also able to get the Hyundai's tag number, according to the Sheriff's Office. Deputies sent out a bulletin for the vehicle, and Fort Lauderdale police said they later found it at the owner's address with Campbell leaning against it.

Campbell ran away, deputies said, but a police dog tracked him done, hiding in some nearby bushes. He was arrested and faces several charges, including robbery with a firearm.

Deputies are still searching for the second man.
