Wimauma woman reported missing by family is found safe in hotel

UPDATE: 5:37 p.m.

A sheriff's spokeswoman reported Taylor was found safe after staying overnight in a Bahia Beach hotel. The manager of the hotel saw news coverage and called deputies.

TAMPA — Carolyn T. Taylor was supposed to have lunch with her family Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino.

She never showed up.

Now, Hillsborough deputies are asking for the public's help in finding her.

Taylor, 79, is about 5 feet 5, 140 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. She lives in Wimauma and drives a 2002 beige Pontiac Bonneville with the Florida tag J32KHF.

Her son reported seeing her Saturday night about 6:30 p.m. She then was seen leaving her home in her car between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Neither she nor the car have been seen since.
