Young man found dead in Clearwater apartment, drug use suspected

CLEARWATER — A 22-year-old man who has a history of drug use was found dead in a Clearwater apartment Thursday morning.

The man was found at Town Place Apartment Homes, 2545 NE Coachman Road. Clearwater Police said they did not suspect homicide.

A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office forensics team was at the scene around 9 a.m. Thursday.

Police said there was evidence of drug use on scene. A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
