Hernando Religion Calendar for Sept. 14

Bishop Gregory L. Parkes and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Petersburg have announced plans for the construction of affordable housing over the next several years for those in need in eight to 10 communities within the diocese. On Sept. 7 a ground-breaking ceremony was held at the first location, St. Benedict Housing in Crystal River.

Mizpah Ministries will hold its fifth-annual golf tournament to raise support for its ministry on Oct. 6 at Brooksville Golf Club, 23446 Links Drive. Individuals, pairs, foursomes and sponsors are welcome. There will be prizes for longest drive, closest to the hole and the foursome with the lowest score, plus door prizes.
