Dunedin

Spring Hill

Temple Beth David, 13158 Antelope St., will have an open house at 1 p.m. Aug. 24. Meet Rabbi David Levin, members of the congregation, tour the sanctuary, the Judaic library and browse the Judaic Gift Shop. Refreshments will be served. Unitarian Universalist Church of Tarpon Springs, 230 Grand Blvd., offers a service at 10:30 a.m. Sundays. This Sunday a special service will be given by the Inness painting committee. Two of the George Inness Jr. paintings, which are on display at the church, have been hung in the Louvre. The collection will go to the Julia Restoration Fund, which will refurbish that work of art. Zen meditation resumes with the Rev. Garmon, a Buddhist priest, at 10 a.m. Aug. 23. The women of the church meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month to sew quilts for Ethiopian AIDS orphans. Congregation B'nai Emmunah, a Reform Jewish Synagogue, 3374 Keystone Road, offers a Shabbat evening service at 8 p.m. every Friday with a member-hosted Oneg afterward. On the last Friday of each month will be Simcha Shabbat with blessings for those who are celebrating special days including birthdays, anniversaries, new homes or new children. Weeki Wachee
