First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace will feature Christian recording artist Brandon Heath at its Easter services.
Very cool.
I'm a longtime Heath fan. I interviewed him a few years back when he performed at Busch Gardens in Tampa. He came across humble and funny. I sing his songs (off key) in the car all the time. My preschooler says they have no beat, but I disagree.
Heath, a Dove Award Winner known for radio hits including the Light in Me and I'm Not Who I Was, will perform free concerts at 6 p.m. Saturday (April 15) and 11 a.m. Sunday (April 16).
I think Heath's music and Easter go well together. His first album focused on his rebirth as a Christian. In Give Me Your Eyes, he sings about seeing the world from a new perspective.
Give me your eyes so I can see,
All of the things that I've been missing.
Give me your love for humanity.
This Easter, I can't ask for much more than a renewed vision.
