Brooksville

Pray for the Nation, sponsored by Aglow International of Spring Hill, will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday on the steps of the Hernando County Courthouse, 20 N Main St.

Prayers will be said for families, children and education, law enforcement, local government, the upcoming elections, finances and jobs, the military, and state and federal government officials.

Spring Hill

Pristine Spring Hill Baptist Church, 13241 Spring Hill Drive, will celebrate its first anniversary with special services at 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 17. There will also be a community lunch at 2 p.m. April 16 at Northcliffe Baptist Church, 10515 Northcliffe Blvd. Cost for the banquet is $35. Call (352) 515-4849.

Mariner United Methodist Church, 7079 Mariner Blvd., will have its last yard sale of the season from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Selections for sale will include household items, crafts, electronics, small appliances, boutique, books, pictures, baskets, linens and blankets, toys and games, jewelry, furniture, instruments, yard items, tools, sports equipment and clothing for all ages. Temple Beth David, 13158 Antelope St., will host its annual family Passover Seder, with a catered dinner, beginning at 5 p.m. April 23. The Baha'is of Hernando County will host a discussion and talk, "True Happiness — Really!" at 7 p.m. Friday at Spring Hill United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd. Transportation is available, and refreshments will be served. Call (352) 666-7280.
