Hernando County religion calendar for April 6

Brooksville

Faith Fellowship Church, 19255 Campground Road, will host a free gospel sing from 2 to 5 p.m. April 13. People attending may sing or play an instrument, or just listen. A karaoke machine will be available for CDs. All ages are welcome, and light refreshments will be served. Brooksville Wesleyan Church, 22319 Cortez Blvd., will host the Gulf Ridge Quartet at 6 p.m. Sunday. An offering will be collected. Call (352) 799-3066.

Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mount Fair Ave., will host the Birdsongs in concert at 7 p.m. April 13. There will also be a barbecue dinner and raffle/silent auction. Churches interested in using the event as a fundraiser should contact Monte Patterson at (352) 279-5985. Tickets and posters will be provided to promote the event. Concert tickets, if purchased from Faith Evangelical Presbyterian, cost $5; other participating churches can set their own prices after purchasing tickets for $3. Tickets for the dinner cost $6. Businesses and individuals are being sought to donate items for the auction. Proceeds from the will be used for the needy. Also, the church will offer a mystery dinner theater production, Mystery on Mondon Mountain, at 6:30 p.m. April 26 and 27. Tickets cost $15; proceeds go to the church's youth missions. New Hope Missionary Baptist Church is selling tickets for "2013 Phony Men Silly Women," to be presented at 4 p.m. May 4 at First Baptist Church, 420 Howell Ave. The speaker will be Pastor Freddie Hinson, Jr.; the host will be comedian Rod Z. Ridge Manor

Ridge Manor Community United Methodist Church, 34350 Cortez Blvd., will have its annual High Tea Party from 2 to 3 p.m. April 27. The theme is Ridge Manor in Bloom, with guest speaker Rita Grant, a master gardener from the Hernando County Extension Service. There will also be a silent auction. Tickets cost $10. Spring Hill

Aglow International Spring Hill Chapter will have a breakfast meeting at 8:45 a.m. April 15 at Evergreen Woods, 7030 Evergreen Woods Trail. Mariner United Methodist Church, 7079 Mariner Blvd, will have its last yard sale of the season from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. Items for sale will include crafts, electronics, clothing, glassware, toys, games, jewelry, mattresses/box springs, furniture, kitchenware, tools and personal items. Weeki Wachee

Nativity Lutheran Church, 6363 Commercial Way, will have a Junktique and Bake Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and April 13.
