Hernando County religion calendar

Brooksville

Brooksville First Presbyterian Church, 250 Bell Ave., is hosting a $5 breakfast every second Saturday of the month, 8 to 11 a.m. Breakfast includes a beverage plus a choice of waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy or eggs and sausage. Proceeds support the church food pantry. Call (727) 514-6253.

Jericho Road Ministries has announced that it needs volunteers interested in serving the needy. Call (352) 799-2912, ext. 101, for information. Also, purchasing items from the ministry's thrift stores helps provide funding for food, clothing and shelter. The stores are at 16479 Wiscon Road, Brooksville; 31170 Cortez Blvd., Ridge Manor, and 5260 Commercial Way, Spring Hill. Contributions are welcome.

Spring Hill

First United Methodist Church, 9344 Spring Hill Drive, offers a soup kitchen, which serves hot, nutritious meals to those in need, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays. Call (352) 683-2600.
