Masaryktown

St. Mary's Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 18810 U.S. 41, will host Italian Night at 5 p.m. Sept. 13. The $9 advance tickets are available after Masses, in the gift shop and at the church office and include homemade sauce, pasta, bread, meatballs, Italian sausage, salad, dessert and beverages. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church invites children to participate in a new music and choral training program through its Outreach Christian Arts Program. It is open to elementary-age children (kindergarten through fifth grades), and church membership is not required.

A registration meeting will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 at the church, 1214 Broad St., Masaryktown. The first session will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 17, and continue weekly for 12 weeks.

Participants will participate in age-appropriate music and singing, arts and crafts, and Bible lessons. Children also will have opportunities to participate in various performances and festivals, including the church's Reformation celebration in October, its Christmas program and the annual Choristers Guild Children's 2015 Choir Festival in Orlando in March.

Brooksville

Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mount Fair Ave., will host an American Heart Association HeartSaver Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED/First Aid class on Sept. 20. Also, the church's original members have produced a 25-year anniversary book that chronicles the beginnings of the church with color photos. Orders will be taken until Sept. 14 for the 98-page book. First Fridays, a free gospel music/entertainment event held on the first Friday of each month at the Brooksville Common, 109 S Broad St., will feature the Blues Brothers, J Tyler, the Mount Calvary SDA Praise Team and Fuzed Elements at 6 p.m. today. Spring Hill

Temple Beth David, 13158 Antelope St., will join with the Grande independent and assisted living facility to host Italian Night at 6 p.m. Sept. 13 at the temple. There will be a buffet Italian meal, including entrees, salad, desserts and coffee. Vocalist Louie Fortunato will provide entertainment. The cost is $20.
