BROOKSVILLE

St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 17260 Wiscon Road, will honor the elderly mothers of the church at 4 p.m. Nov. 29. The honorees are Rosa Brown, Margaree Hart and Elmira Blount. Call (352) 442-2003.

Eden Baptist Church 22308 Lake Lindsey Road, will present the Sunny South Trio and Forgiven in concert at 6 p.m. today. The members of the trio are Florida natives, with Faye and Kelley Looper having been born and reared in Brooksville. Forgiven has performed with the Gaithers and the Weatherfords. True Holiness Church of Jesus Christ, 15500 Wiscon Road, will host "Feed the Five Thousand" by offering a warm Thanksgiving meal to families from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The event is free and is meant to ensure that all individuals and their families enjoy a home-cooked meal despite their lack of finances, advancing age, failing health or life situation. Suncoast Christian Church, 8449 Cobb Road, will provide a "Pit Stop" between noon and 2 p.m. today for the third annual Ride Without Limits. Christian Life Assembly of God, Jesus and Me Ministry, Love Your Neighbor and Christian Church in the Wildwood, in conjunction with the Brooksville Parks and Recreation Department, are sponsoring a free Community Thanksgiving on Monday. The dinner will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jerome Brown Community Center on Darby Lane, off W Jefferson Street, in Brooksville. SPRING HILL

Temple Beth David, 13158 Antelope St., will offer a free three-session course, "A Taste of Judaism," at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 8. The course is for those who are interested in connecting or reconnecting with Judaism and will offer participants the opportunity to explore the topics of spirituality, ethics and community. The course will be taught by Judy Greene and Rabbi David Levin and is open to unaffiliated Jews, interfaith couples and non-Jews who may be contemplating conversion. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2301 Deltona Blvd., is having its second annual $10,000 raffle. The drawing for the main prize and additional prizes of $800 and $500 will be at the Valentine's Day Blessing and Dinner on Feb. 13. Proceeds will help support the Humane Society of the Nature Coast. Grace Lutheran Church and Growing in Grace Preschool, 411 Mariner Blvd., will provide a petting zoo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. First United Methodist Church, 9344 Spring Hill Drive, will present ventriloquist, musician and comedian Taylor Mason for family entertainment at 7 p.m. today. Hope Community Bible Church, 13241 Spring Hill Drive, will present G. Richard Deal in a sacred piano concert at 6 p.m. Sunday. Deal has presented more than 2,500 sacred and classical piano concerts in Europe, Asia and North and South America. He has released six professional recordings and has performed with symphony orchestras. He also participated in the Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow.
