Brooksville

Brooksville Wesleyan Church will offer a women's Bible study, "Lies Women Believe and the Truth That Sets Them Free," from 9 to 11:15 a.m. on Tuesdays from Jan. 26 through March 8 in the Nicholson Dining Room at Wesleyan Village, 8225 Wesley Drive. Contact Wynona Goheen at (352) 573-0176.

Community Bible Church, 5041 Griffin Road, will host the Gulf Ridge Quartet and the McLellans in concert at 7 p.m. Friday. Admission is free; an offering for Child Evangelism Fellowship will be collected.

Turning Point Church of the Nazarene, 19384 Ingram St., has announced that the Rev. Ken McLellan is the church's new pastor and will serve the church along with his wife, Ginger. McLellan held his first service at the church on Jan. 3.

Spring Hill

Mariner United Methodist Church, 7079 Mariner Blvd., will have a Mega Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Items for sale include household goods, crafts, electronics, small appliances, boutique items, books, pictures, baskets, linens, blankets, glassware, toys, jewelry, bedroom and living room furniture, instruments, yard and other tools, golf clubs and clothing. St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1107 Commercial Way, will have a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 30 and from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 in the Msgr. Scully Gymnasium. The tournament is open to teams of three players (male or female and with one optional substitute) in groups for ages 12 to 14, 15 to 17, or 18 and older. Registration is $20 per person through Wednesday. After Wednesday, registration is $25 and will be accepted until 9:30 a.m. Jan. 30. Registration packets are available at the church from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or online at Saint-Theresa.org by clicking on "Tournament Form." Weeki Wachee

Unitarian Universalist Church in the Pines will host a community discussion, "Healing from Emotional Violence and Abuse: My Personal Story of Moving Through Chaos, Fear and Victimhood to Transformation Living," by Nancy Casey, a certified social worker, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Heather Community Center, 9100 Nakoma Way. Casey uses music and laughter to present a positive message about healing from anger and guilt. Her process applies to any abusive situation. The event is free.
