Hernando Religion Calendar for Sept. 29

Brooksville

St. John's Episcopal Church, 200 S. Brooksville Ave., will have a Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 7 in the church yard. Cats, dogs, rescue pets, horses and other pets are welcome. Snacks for pets will be provided. Also, the church will offer a free spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. Oct. 8, after a free 3 p.m. organ concert by church organist Harlan Ayers, a member of the American Guild of Organists. The dinner will include homemade meatballs and sauce, salad and desserts. Reservations are required by Oct. 4 by calling (352) 796-9112.

St. Mary's Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church, 18810 U.S. 41, will have its annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 29 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 30. Call (352) 796-2792 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
