Brooksville

First Baptist Church of Garden Grove, 18131 Stromberg Ave., will have revival services at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 13 and at 7 p.m. Jan. 14 to 16. The speaker will be the Rev. Lewis Miller. Call (352) 796-2209.

Faith Fellowship Church, 19255 Campground Road, will host a free Gospel Sing from 2 to 5 p.m. Jan. 12. People attending may sing or play an instrument, or just listen. A karaoke machine is available for CDs. All ages are welcome, and light refreshments will be served. Anyone planning to play an instrument should arrive by 1:30. Spring Hill Aglow International will host an hour of prayer for the nation from noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 19 on the steps of the Hernando County Government Center, 20 N Main St. Speakers will include Lt. J.R. Hutchison, of the Hernando County Sheriff's Office and the Rev. Rachela Corelli. Local pastors will lead prayers. Angela Dittmar will sing and lead patriotic songs. Spring Hill

The Baha'is of Hernando County will host a talk, "Portals to Heaven" by Walter Klein, at 7 p.m. Friday at Spring Hill United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd. Transportation is available and refreshments will be served. Call (352) 666-7280.

Mariner United Methodist Church, 7079 Mariner Blvd., will have a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 18 and 19. Items for sale include computers, printers, televisions, boutique items, jewelry, books, pictures, baskets, clothing and shoes, purses, household items, crafts, tools and yard items. Food, drinks and baked goods will also be available for purchase. Call (352) 596-0080.
