Religion calendar: Brandon church to host Military Appreciation Sunday

Bell Shoals Baptist Church will host Military Appreciation Sunday on April 13 to honor those who serve and the families who support them. The celebration will feature uplifting music and guest speaker Steve Russell, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel who will tell his story about the capture of Saddam Hussein. Services will be held at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. in the Bell Shoals Baptist Church Worship Center, 2102 Bell Shoals Road, Brandon. South Brandon Baptist Church, 4929 Bell Shoals Road, offers "Radically Excited About the Lord" Friday nights. A 7 p.m. session is for high school seniors through people up to age 30; worship is 8:30 p.m.

Friendship Baptist Church, 1511 El Rancho Drive, Sun City Center, offers Sunday and Wednesday Bible study, a women's mission union and information on interpreting for the deaf. Call 633-5950.
