Religion Calendar for Oct. 6

Brooksville

Jesus Cares will host a women's retreat with worship and workshops from Oct. 20 to 22 at the Lakewood Retreat Center, 25458 Dan Brown Hill Road. Women from all backgrounds, denominations and ethnicities are welcome. The cost is $125 and includes accommodations, sessions and all meals both days. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. Oct. 20. St. John's Episcopal Church, 200 S Brooksville Ave., will have a Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 7 in the church yard. Cats, dogs, rescue pets, horses and other pets are welcome. Snacks for pets will be provided. Call (352) 796-9112.

Spring Hill

Great Life Church, 14494 Cortez Blvd., will host its Rain Conference, a free annual women's event that encourages women in their faith with music and guest speakers, at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 and at 10 a.m., 2 and 7 p.m. Oct. 13.
