Religion Calendar for Sept. 1

Spring Hill

Chabad Spring Hill is offering the Shofar Factory to Jewish children — ages 3 to 13 with adult supervision — from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 10 at Holiday Inn Express, 3528 Commercial Way. The cost is $5 per child online at chabadspringhill.com, or $10 at the door. Children will create and keep their own authentic shofar, from an unworked ram's horn, and will learn how to blow it as is traditionally done on Rosh Hashanah. They will also decorate honey cakes and make holiday crafts. Call (352) 600-2779 by Sept. 3 to make reservations.

Northcliffe Baptist Church, 10515 Northcliffe Blvd., will host Christian recording artist Josh Wilson in concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 2. Special guests for the night of music and stories will be Ike Ndolo and Sarah Kroger. Tickets are $25 at the door or $20 if purchased at the church office. Tickets are also available at littleflowerevents.com. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

Unitarian Universalist Church in the Pines, which meets at the Heather Community Center, 9100 Nakoma Way, is collecting computers to assist the homeless find and keep employment. Any make or model with a Windows platform is appreciated, including older models and those in need of repair. Call (352) 600-9555.
