The Franciscan Center, 3010 N Perry Ave., Tampa, will hold the Lenten Day of Recollection "Forgiveness as a Choice of the Heart" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The day will include presentations about forgiveness as essential to healing from life's hurt, prayer, faith sharing, and the opportunity to participate in Eucharistic Liturgy and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Tampa Jewish Family Services is holding a parenting workshop on how to cope with stress from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Parents will learn the difference between healthy and unhealthy stress and how it impacts children. The workshop will be held at Congregation Rodeph Sholom, 2713 Bayshore Blvd., Tampa.
