Tampa police Officer Brandon Barclay rides his horse Officer Chad to receive his morning bite of a glazed doughnut Thursday at the Krispy Kreme store on Florida Avenue in Tampa. The Tampa Police Department took part in the Great Doughnut Delivery Dash, a fundraiser to benefit the Special Olympics. After taking orders for the past few weeks, Tampa police loaded patrol cars and delivered more than 200 dozen doughnuts to local charities. “At the end of the year if we raise $25,000 to benefit the Special Olympics, this is a good year for our efforts,” said Lt. Ricardo Ubinas of the Tampa Police Department.
