If you haven't booked a flight out of Tampa International Airport yet to get away from Hurricane Irma, it's probably too late.

The Tampa airport will cease all commercial airline operations today at 8 p.m. That means no flights will be taking off or landing at the airport, said Janet Zink, a spokeswoman at TIA. Airlines have already reported more than 35 cancellations or delays for flights out of Tampa tomorrow, Zink said.

Travelers should check in with specific airlines about the status of flights before coming to the airport. It is unclear when operations will resume at this point, but not before Hurricane Irma passes through Florida and Tampa Bay Sunday night and Monday.
