A self-employed Tampa disc jockey won $1.3 million at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino early Friday, the casino reported.
Cory McAlpin, 29, played a $10 spin on the Wheel of Fortune progressive MegaJackpot machine at 4:35 a.m. There have been just four people to win more than $1 million at the casino in the last years.
McAlpin moved to Tampa from the Virgin Islands in 2002, the casino said. He was wearing his lucky white Tampa Bay Rays hat when he took the spin.
