Courtney Campbell ramp opens near TIA

TAMPA — As if Mondays aren't bad enough, morning commuters from the Courtney Campbell Parkway had a new ramp to negotiate.

The ramp runs from the causeway to southbound Memorial Highway.

The new ramp enters southbound Memorial from the left side, steering drivers away from traffic exiting to Tampa International Airport or Spruce and Cypress streets, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

At the end of the eastbound Courtney Campbell Parkway, the right lane is for traffic heading to the airport and Spruce Street; the middle lane is for I-275 and Kennedy Boulevard; and the left lane goes to the Veterans Expressway and other roads to the north.
