Delays coming Saturday night on northbound I-275 near Dale Mabry

TAMPA — Drivers should expect delays Saturday night on northbound Interstate 275 at Dale Mabry Highway as most lanes close for construction.

Only one lane of northbound I-275 will remain open between Dale Mabry and Himes Avenue from 9 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday, the Florida Department of Transportation said.

All interchange ramps will stay open at Dale Mabry, the DOT said, but drivers can expect significant delays on northbound I-275 and the entrance ramps between the Howard Frankland Bridge and Himes.

By Sunday morning, northbound I-275 will shift to a new alignment in that area that will include all three lanes using a new bridge over Himes.
