TAMPA — A gas leak closed eastbound traffic on Kennedy Boulevard for several blocks Tuesday morning as crews worked to clean up the spill.
Construction in the area caused a break in a natural gas line just before 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Kennedy Boulevard and Brevard Street, officials said. Tampa Fire Rescue and TECO crews responded.
Kennedy Boulevard's eastbound lanes were shut down from Hyde Park Avenue to S Boulevard for about an hour.
