TAMPA — Starting Monday, MacDill Avenue will be closed in both directions between Gandy and Bay to Bay boulevards.
Drivers who use MacDill Avenue for their commute through South Tampa are advised to take Dale Mabry Highway.
The closure will allow CSX to upgrade the railroad crossings on MacDill at Santiago and Mason Streets, according to the Tampa public works department.
Work is scheduled to be complete in a week, weather permitting.
