Most northbound lanes on I-275 near Dale Mabry to close temporarily

TAMPA — Construction will cause all but one lane of northbound Interstate 275 near Dale Mabry Highway to temporarily close Friday night.

Only one northbound lane between Dale Mabry and the Himes Avenue entrance ramp is set to be open from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday.

All interchange ramps will remain open at Dale Mabry, according to the Florida Department of Transportation, but motorists should expect periods of major delays on northbound I-275 and the entrance ramps at Memorial Highway and West Shore Boulevard.

By Saturday morning, northbound I-275 will be shifted to a new alignment in the area. All three lanes of traffic will use a new bridge over Himes.
