Part of westbound expressway in downtown Tampa to be just one lane for weeks

TAMPA — The westbound Lee Roy Selmon Expressway will be reduced to one lane from Morgan Street to Brorein Street beginning Wednesday.

Officials said the construction closure is expected to last through February. It's part of a project to replace deck panels and widen the roadway.

Drivers may also expect delays in the area between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday nights as workers temporarily close longer stretches of the expressway.
