TAMPA — A ruptured water main shut down the intersection of N 30th Street and Elm Street Tuesday morning as authorities worked to repair the break.
All traffic on 30th Street was rerouted about 8 a.m. after water from the main flooded the road.
Tampa Water Department officials expected repairs to be complete by the end of Tuesday, and said the road should be completely restored by Friday afternoon, weather permitting.
Barricades and signs were put up at the intersection to help reroute traffic. Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
