Snow leads to more canceled flights at Tampa International Airport

TAMPA — The East Coast's barrage of snow — dubbed by some as the "snowpocalypse" — led to continued flight cancellations Monday at Tampa International Airport, officials said.

Saturday had 32 cancellations of departures and arrivals, and Sunday had 30, said airport spokeswoman Brenda Geoghagan. Monday had 10 cancellations as of 10 a.m., she said.

Airport officials have said travelers should check with their airline before leaving for the airport, even if they aren't flying into areas affected by the storm.
