Two die in Citrus County motorcycle crash

BEVERLY HILLS — A man and woman from Lecanto died after their motorcycle collided with a car Sunday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The victims, whose names were not yet released, were driving south on County Road 491 about 3 p.m. when a car on Marc Knighton Court pulled into their path, the patrol said.

Both people on the motorcycle were thrown onto the road when the motorcycle crashed into the 2009 Nissan, according to the report. Neither was wearing a helmet, the patrol said.

The driver and passenger of the motorcycle were transported to Seven Rivers Hospital and Citrus Memorial Hospital, respectively, where they died from their injuries.

The driver of the car, Dianda Anderson, 28, of Beverly Hills, had no injuries, authorities said.

The incident remains under investigation.
