The weekend will carry a chance of showers, but temperatures should be above average for the first time in several days.
Friday's high will reach the mid-60s in much of Tampa Bay, about ten degrees warmer than Wednesday and Thursday. But Bay News 9 Meteorologist Diane Kacmarik said a 60 percent chance of rain will keep things gloomy.
"Another dreary one," Kacmarik said of Friday.
Saturday's rain chance is lower, though a sea breeze could bring showers in the afternoon, Kacmarik said.
Temperatures will be much warmer Saturday too, with highs reaching into the high 70s.
Sunday will be partly cloudy with a low chance of rain in the morning and a light breeze predicted. Overall, Kacmarik said, it will be a lot more pleasant than most of this cloudy, rainy week.
