A cold front will move through Tampa Bay on Wednesday night, but no need to pull out hats and gloves.
Unlike the fronts that have forced down temperatures all season, this one will lower the thermometer by only about 10 degrees, said Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez.
"It's not going to be a huge cold blast of air for us, but I think people will notice a difference," Marquez said.
Wednesday morning temperatures were above average, meaning any drop would be noticeable Thursday.
Temperatures will be in the high 70s Wednesday afternoon and drop to the high 60s Thursday. By Friday, temperatures will climb back into the low 70s.
Wednesday also will bring the week's highest rain chance at 50 percent.
"Scattered showers will be with us this afternoon and this evening," Marquez said.
Scattered showers, in fact, are possible through the week, she said.
