Enjoy Friday's cooler-than-normal weather: This may be the last day we feel it for awhile.
A cold front that stalled over the southeast United States and dropped Tampa Bay area temperatures into the 70s and 80s will sweep back north this weekend, according to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez.
Highs will be in the mid-80s Friday for most of the area, with mostly cloudy skies and a 50 percent chance of showers. But as the front moves away, the rain chances for Saturday and Sunday will be much lower.
"We'll still get those scattered storms and showers each day," Marquez said. "But it won't be that widespread, longer rain we've been having."
Expect more sunshine over the weekend, which means warmer temperatures. Saturday's highs will be around high 80s for most of the area and closer to 90 inland. Sunday will be sunny and hotter, reaching highs in the mid-90s.
