Dense fog covering Tampa Bay on Wednesday diminished visibility for drivers to about half of a mile or less.
Some commuters saw visibility drop to almost zero in parts of Tampa Bay, said National Weather Service meteorologist John McMichael.
The rest of the day should be partly sunny with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. That warm weather should stay through the weekend.
"Once the fog breaks up we should have a good day," McMichael said, "a real beautiful day."
