The soggy, wet weekend has begun.

Rain swooped in Friday across the Tampa Bay area, which remains under a flood watch through Saturday evening. That includes Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties.

Along the coast, expect three to five inches Friday and Saturday, with plenty left over for inland residents, said WTSP 10Weather meteorologist Bobby Deskins.

WTSP is forecasting a 70 percent chance of rain for Friday, 70 percent for Saturday and 80 percent for Sunday, with high temperatures in the mid-80s all weekend.

The National Weather Service warned that low-lying areas could flood.
